We are looking forward to helping your child have a great time at Summer Music Programs! Please review the information below but also the "To the Musician - Day Program" Letter and questionnaire for your child. If you have any questions, give us a call at 610 526 6114, or email Greg Wright. WHERE AND WHEN - We begin at 9 am and end at 3pm Monday thru Friday at Klein Hall. Please DO NOT drop off before 9 am. Please call to arrange extended day supervision mornings or afternoons at an additional cost. There will be no adult supervision before 9 am or after 3 pm except on Mondays when you may load in at 8:45. The other exception is Thursdays when we will be going to the studio. The bus will leave PROMPTLY at 8:30 am. Concerts will be held on Fridays in the cafeteria (also in Klein Hall) and will begin at 12:30. LUNCH - Lunch is provided daily. Please let us know if you have any food concerns such as allergies or if you have vegetarian or kosher needs. INSTRUMENTS AND EQUIPMENT - All musicians must provide their own instruments, amplifiers and other equipment. Summer Music Programs will provide secure overnight storage for every musicians equipment. Summer Music Programs will also provide P.A. equipment for vocals only. Instrument and equipment rentals can be arranged. We strongly recommend that you have instruments and amps professionally inspected. Summer Music Programs cannot be responsible for damage to equipment or instruments under normal use. PLAYING IN GROUPS - Even though all groups will have adult musicians as group teachers, your child may be grouped with other young musicians they may never have met before. Because such social interaction is difficult for some kids, we invite you to contact us with any special instructions so that we can make your child's time here as wonderful as possible. DO'S - Every young musician is expected to treat everyone else (especially other young musicians) with courtesy and respect. All musicians will follow the instructions of their band teachers at all times. DON'T - No one is allowed to touch property that belongs to someone else without their permission, especially their instrument. Vandalism of property (i.e. college or studio) will not be tolerated. Illegal substances (including alcohol and tobacco) will not be tolerated. According to township ordinances, skate boarding and in line skates are not allowed.
for behavior it deems disruptive, uncooperative, or in any way improper. |
